After
leaving director Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak and rumors of being in the
upcoming J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode VII as a Sith, Actor Benedict
Cumberbatch is currently in negotiations to star in James Gray’s adaptation of
David Grann’s bestselling non-fiction, The Lost City of Z, which tells the story
of British explorer Percy Fawcett, who went into the Amazon jungle, in search
of a mythical lost city and never returned.
