After
the great Life of Pi, which won him the Oscar for best directing, director Ang
Lee is back with another 3D film, this time is “an epic look at the boxing
world of the 1960s and 1970s, as seen through the prism of its biggest
rivalries and greatest fights.”
The film
will have 3D re-enactments of some the most classic fights, like the Muhammad
Ali and Joe Frazier Thrilla in Manila. The movie will have a narrative that
will connect all these fights, although at this point it’s still unclear what
type of narrative it is.
According
to some reports Lee will take “the exploration of 3D technology and cutting-edge
visual effects further”. So we can expect a bigger spectacle then the beautiful
Life of Pi.
