Before we begin our post here is a short video of Patrick Stewart talking to a fan about his childhood, dealing with domestic abuse and his connection to the UK organization refuge, that helps women and children who are victims of it.
Now
changing the tone of the post, during Comicpalooza, Stewart said that;
“I
think it is going to certainly be the X-Men of all X-Men pictures, and one doesn’t want to
tempt fate, but perhaps also the blockbuster of 2014.”
Well,
sure. If you think about it, the film is going to have a large ensemble of
mutants which are relevant to the film, unlike X-Men: The Last Stand, which
also had a large collective of mutants in it.
For
those of you that don’t recall X-Men: The Last Stand, the body of Professor X
got disintegrated by the Dark Phoenix (Famke Janssen), but at the end of the
film after the credits role, there is a short clip of his mind being transferred
to a body that was in the care of Moira MacTaggert. While everybody was confused
about these sudden change of events and the implications for the next X-Men
film, check out what Stewart had to say about it.
“It’s
been 6 or 7 years since X-Men 3, where you will recall that Charles Xavier was
vaporized by whats-her-name, Jean Grey. And you’re asking yourselves, ‘If you
were vaporized, how can you be in the next X-Men movie?’ Anybody got any ideas
how that came about?” One audience member yelled out “Time travel,” to which
Stewart responded: “Yeah, that’s exactly it. I guess. There will be an
explanation, but it was a little puzzling for me because I thought my X-Men
days were over. So, it’s something to look forward to.”
X-Men: Days of Future Past is directed by Bryan Singer
and stars in X-Men: Days of
Future Past are James McAvoy (Younger Professor X), Michael
Fassbender (Younger Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Raven/Mystique), Patrick
Stewart (Older Professor X), Ian McKellan (Older

Berry (Ororo Munroe/Storm),Anna Paquin (Marie/Rogue), Ellen
Page (Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat), Shawn Ashmore (Bobby
Drake/Iceman), Omar Sy, Daniel Cudmore (Piotr
Rasputin/Colossus), Booboo Stewart, Fan Bingbing (Clarice
Ferguson/Blink), Nicholas Hoult (Hank McCoy/Beast) and Peter

X-Men: Days of Future Past Synopsis:
“The storyline alternates
between present day, in which
the X-Men fight Mystique's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, and
a future timeline caused by the X-Men's failure to prevent the Brotherhood from
assassinating Senator Robert Kelly. In this future
universe, Sentinels rule the United States, and mutants live
ininternment camps. The present-day X-Men are forewarned of the possible future
by a future version of their teammate Kitty Pryde, whose mind traveled
back in time and possessed her younger self to warn the X-Men. She succeeds in
her mission and returns to the future, but despite her success, the future
timeline still exists as an alternative timeline rather than as the actual
future. (The Official Handbook to the Marvel Universe: Alternate
Universes 2005 gave the numerical designation of "Days of Future
Past" Earth as Earth-811).”
