Lock & Key To The Big Screen Plus Pilot For Show That Was Cancelled

After Fox passed on the small screen adaptation of the popular graphic novel, Lock & Key back in 2011, fans were in shock since they thought they would never see their beloved characters jump to the screen. Now apparently Universal stepped up to the occasion and is bringing the comic book pages not to the small screen but to the big one. Reports say that Universal not only bought the rights to the graphic novel but as hired Star Trek and Transformers screenwriters and producers, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci to the table.

Lock & Key was created by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez and focuses on three siblings that return home after their father murder and discover some keys that give them special powers and abilities.

As I said before Fox picked up the rights for a tv series and later dropped it, but not before Mark Romanek put the pages in the pilot.
