50 Shades Of Grey

50 Shades Of Grey

We don’t usually write about this type of subject but when a director like Gus Van Sant is apparently keen on directing the adaptation to the big screen of the hugely popular erotic s&m novel by E.L. James, that he skips the approval from both Universal Pictures and Focus Features  and shoots a test reel, we need to report it.

The test shoot consisted of actor Alex Pettyfer from Magic Mike in a hot sex scene, just to show how “Grey” the movie would be.

According to The Wrap, director Gus Van Sant is on a mission to prove to the studios that he is the right man for the job. Both Universal and Focus have declined to comment on Gus Van Sant, or any other director being hired. Although there aren’t any official news on the project, the job of director could land on Van Sant’s lap, since he had the brilliance on choosing actor Alex Pettyfer for the role of Christian Grey, and for those of you that perhaps don’t remember, Pettyfer was on Stephen Soderbergh’s Magic Mike, which
allowed him to show not only his stripping technique but his great physic.

Official 50 Shades Of Grey Synopsis:
When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.
Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success—his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family—Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark
desires.
Erotic, amusing, and deeply moving, the Fifty Shades Trilogy is a tale that will obsess you, possess you, and stay with you forever.
